The Post in Which I Talk About Sleep


Who doesn't love it? Don't those sheets and pillows look absolutely snuggle worthy? (They are on my bed and they are damn comfy if you ask me) but I have a hard time laying down at night. How does one who is so enamored with sleep not able to make herself GO to sleep? Easy, I'm afraid I'll miss something. 

Once the little guy is zonked out for the night I hop on my laptop, read and comment on blogs, catch up on Draw Something, do my 30 List. All of which takes time. 

Yesterdays list asked what our superpowers would be and one of them for me was "the ability to not have to sleep" Could you imagine how much you would get done, learn, experience? It would be fantastic. Along the same lines of 30 Lists, was the 2nd list, Goals for the Month. One was go to sleep 10 minutes earlier each night, so far, this is a total failure. I think I have gone to sleep 10 minutes later than the night before. I really want to succeed in this goal because I think it would help with my over all health, not feeling in a fog, and generally being happier. 

I mentioned about that I am afraid to miss something. Like a child, the night before a big event, who is too excited to sleep. How do I get over this? 

So, tonight I shall turn off the phone, the TV, and the computer and try to wind down. 

Everyone has to start somewhere.
